Leaving the "code" part aside, I think that the new debconf templates
should also be reviewed in debian-l10n-english to avoid introducing
new templates that are not comparable in style with the commonly
accepted wording for debconf templates.

I did not go in details in your proposal (and, anyway, even though I
coordinate such reviews, I need the help of other debian-l10n-english
subscribers who *are* native speakers and even sometimes experts in
English language while I am neither of those...:-).....however, I
would still point the "(Recommended)" parts in the templates synopsis
that are not inline with that commonly accepted style.

I'll followup on your initial bug report, CC'ing
debian-l10n-english...so that we can prepare all this.
