Version: 0.5.5.1-1

(hal: 0.5.11-8, xserver-xorg: 1:7.4~5, kdm: 4:4.2.0-1)

With the same line put in /etc/default/rcS and the same version of dash
configured as the system shell, my X server (or is it KDM?) freezes and no
input at all is taken from the keyboard nor from the touchpad (I'm using the
default input hotplugging feature on my laptop with X.org from experimental
and have configured both in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/10-x11-input.fdi). I suppose
that hal just doesn't start, because if I boot the system in single user mode
an then start the dbus and hal daemons before continuing the boot there's no
such a problem.

/var/log/Xorg.0.log says:
> [...]
> X.Org X Server 1.5.99.902 (1.6.0 RC 2)
> [...]
> (EE) config/hal: couldn't initialise context: (null) ((null))
> [EOF]

/var/log/kdm.log says:
> error setting MTRR (base = 0xd0000000, size = 0x10000000, type = 1) Invalid
argument (22)

With CONCURRENCY="none" those issues don't occur.

Please tell me if I can provide more information.
