Hello, Regarding LP 144468 (https://launchpad.net/bugs/144468), you fixed it by removing hard and soft ulimits for locked-in-core memory before running slmodemd.
Someone on Debian, commented (http://bugs.debian.org/511996) on this fix that assigning unlimited locked memory can give the process the ability to lock the whole machine: dropping the privileges loses then part of its sense. He suggests that instead of making the locked-in-core memory unlimited, it would better be limited to 8 or 16 MB. I wonder if you got comments regarding this. -- أحمد المحمودي (Ahmed El-Mahmoudy) Digital design engineer GPG KeyID: 0x9DCA0B27 (@ subkeys.pgp.net) GPG Fingerprint: 087D 3767 8CAC 65B1 8F6C 156E D325 C3C8 9DCA 0B27 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
