while resolving Bug#502404 in WDM we (the submiter and me) came accros
the following Error message in ~/.xsession-errors:

This is illegal in the Xresources
Please note, that Singel-Apostrophes are not allowed in app-defaults and
Xresources. They must be always paired OR escaped.
Since escaping looks a little bit weird in this case, I suggest to drop
the singel apostrophe entirely.
