No. Higher severity are for packages breaking the system. Not having X
is far from preventing the system from working :)

Why? Your xorg.conf looks good. If there's a bug, it's more likely in
the X driver or server.

That's the expected behavior, the Xserver is supposed to configure many
things automatically.

You can ignore this.

You should try radeonhd 1.2.4 but it's only built for experimental so
far. So I rebuilt for Lenny for at
    http://people.debian.org/~bgoglin/rebuilds/radeonhd-1.2.4-Xserver1.4/

If radeonhd fails, you should then try the radeon driver as well. There
6.9.0 in Lenny which may work on your board. If it doesn't, you could
try amd64 packages of the very recent radeon 6.11.0 at
    http://people.debian.org/~bgoglin/rebuilds/ati-6.11.0-Xserver1.4/
