AND hardware insufficiency, too. At least the ppc Apple machines are
said to be undercooled, and the occasional high temperture readings on
some hardware might be driver bug or hardware bug.

This is also about acpid working with the kernel side to provide
seamless experience.

The "we are doing according to the spec" attitude won't work here.
Sometimes the hardware is sub-spec or old and dusty or the tables are
wrong.

Some cases might require kernel fixes or workarounds but many can (and
probably should) be handled by scripts that provide aggressive cooling
and throttling when temperature rises.
