Package: openvpn
Version: 2.1~rc11-1
Severity: minor

Ethernet address: 172.30.17.2/30

OpenVPN config: ifconfig 172.30.17.64 172.30.17.65

The following bogus warnings appear in the log file:

WARNING: potential conflict between --local address [172.30.17.2] and
--ifconfig address pair [172.30.17.64, 172.30.17.65] -- this is a warning only
that is triggered when local/remote addresses exist within the same/24 subnet
as --ifconfig endpoints. (silence this warning with --ifconfig-nowarn)
WARNING: potential TUN/TAP adapter subnet conflict between local LAN
[172.30.17.0/255.255.255.0] and remote VPN [172.30.17.64/255.255.255.255]

Obviously, OpenVPN sees the wrong net mask on the ethernet device.
