Package: mondo
Version: 1:2.2.7-2
Severity: grave

The high severity is due to this bug rendering the package unusable.

At the version 2.2.7-2, mondo & mindo only declare a dependency on
cdrkit-based utilities like genisoimage and wodim.

Unfortunately, with only these packages installed, a call to
mondoarchive bombs with the following message:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Please install 'cdrecord'. I cannot find it on your system.
There may be hyperlink at http://www.mondorescue.com which
will take you to the relevant (missing) package.

So, the lack of cdrecord (which I read on the changelog that you
substituted by wodim, but it still checks for cdrecord) makes it refuse
to run, *EVEN* if I am only generating ISO images (to burn on another
system).

Please, if cdrecord is indeed required, make sure that mindi/mondo
depend on the wrapper, but, better yet, make it be intelligent enough to
recognize wodim as an alternative to cdrecord.

And, if possible, make it ignore cdrecord/wodim if the user specifies
the "-Oi" command line option.

Regards, Rogério Brito.

P.S.: The log file that mondo generates is a complete mess and very hard
to read. Would you want a helping hand on reformatting such messages?
Also, some "funny" messages (and function names) aren't funny at all,
especially when you're having a hard time restoring backups. They seem
like the program author is being sarcastic regarding its function.
