There is a syncronizaton/race problem with compiz and recent NVIDIA cards and drivers [1]. It results in screen corruption by having parts of the screen not refreshed. A small workaround is comitted upsream to compiz/workarounds (sic!) [2]. Would be nice to have that one backported and included in the next debian package.
