Package: qemu Version: 0.10.1-1 Severity: normal
Using the (default) Cirrus Logic GD 5446 PCI VGA video card option for the i386 guest doesn't work with Windows 98 SE. The Standard VGA with VESA Bochs extensions does. The initial boot goes fine, but once Windows reachs the point where it sets the display mode away from VGA (640x480x16[256?]) mode the display is corrupted and the VM hangs. This is probably a vgabios thing (I'm using the only version inthe archive at present) but I'm not sure so I'll let you decide. BTW Thank you very, very much for getting the stability issues resolved. I had given up on being able to use Qemu, because I have too many other things on the go to learn a whole new technological framework in order to fix it myself.
