From your description that could also be similar to Ubuntu bug #282733 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282733 ..which is upstream bug #5747 https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5747 I don't have net access right now, but we should check whether these bugs are all related. I have too many winbind crash bugs floating around. Testing if the same bug also happens with 3.3.2 from unstable would also help.
