Package: freetds-dev Version: 0.61-6.2 Sarge supports UTF-8 as a locale, but freetds in Sarge does not. UTF-8 support is available in freetds 0.63.
The 0.63 release also addresses a problem we are having with timeouts when called through PHP. A rebuild against 0.63 fixes this issue.
