As written in the other email, it is strange and I have no idea what it depends on. I started hald with --daemon=yes --verbose=yes --use-syslog and I get the following when I press the Fn-F5 or Fn-F6 keys: Apr 16 19:32:10 localhost hald[4304]: 19:32:10.130 [D] hald_dbus.c:3197: udi=/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_logicaldev_input_1 Apr 16 19:32:10 localhost pi: listening on acpid socket /var/run/acpid.socket: [4472]: 19:32:10.131 [D] addon-acpi.c:201: event is 'sony/hotkey SNC 00000001 00000010#012' Apr 16 19:32:10 localhost acpid: client 4531[0:0] has disconnected Apr 16 19:32:10 localhost pi: listening on acpid socket /var/run/acpid.socket: [4472]: 19:32:10.229 [D] addon-acpi.c:201: event is 'sony/hotkey SNC 00000001 0000003b#012' Then I checked the process and 4531 is the X process itself.
