I am very sorry for taking up your time with this bug report.
I found the source of the problem.
Power saving after 20 minutes was activated in the bios.
Apparently does the kernel not support that.
I have now disabled the power saving and I do not expect any more
problems.

Well, maybe look in the logs but I suspect you won't find anythign in
case theis is a hardware problem
