Hello, I own a HP CM1312nfi (with Jetdirect Ethernet) and I also had the same bug.
I use lenny but I have installed squeeze hplip packages : dpkg -l 'hplip*' Souhait=inconnU/Installé/suppRimé/Purgé/H=à garder | État=Non/Installé/fichier-Config/dépaqUeté/échec-conFig/H=semi-installé/W=attend-traitement-déclenchements |/ Err?=(aucune)/H=à garder/besoin Réinstallation/X=les deux (État,Err: majuscule=mauvais) ||/ Nom Version Description +++-==============-==============-============================================ ii hplip 3.9.2-3 HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP) un hplip-base <néant> (aucune description n'est disponible) ii hplip-data 3.9.2-3 HP Linux Printing and Imaging - data files un hplip-doc <néant> (aucune description n'est disponible) ii hplip-gui 3.9.2-3 HP Linux Printing and Imaging - GUI utilitie un hplip-ppds <néant> (aucune description n'est disponible) I also had the same problem. In fact it miss access to libhpmud.so file. So I have corrected the problem like that : cd /usr/lib ln -s libhpmud.so.0.0.4 libhpmud.so Everything want fine afterward. Please include this in the next version of hplip package. Thanks.
