Package: gnome-applets Version: 2.24.3.1-2+b1 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
The applet shows a strange layout "??" in the panel widget. It appeared during the transition to X.org 1.6. According to the keyboard preferences I have "EEUU Dvorak (default)" (EEUU) and "Poland Dvorak, Polish quotes in the quote keys" (Pol), which is what I already had. Then according to the groups menu in the applet I have EEUU and Pol. However, when I left-click on the applet, or when I use the keyboard binding to switch the layout (Lshift-Rshift in my case), it cycles through EEUU, Pol, and ??. The ?? layout behaves like a strange deadkeys layout. It seems to be English, but the period key is a deadkey. Apostrophe and other keys which are normally deadkeys, are not in this one. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome-applets depends on: ii gconf2 2.26.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii gnome-applet 2.24.3.1-2 Various applets for GNOME 2 panel ii gnome-icon-t 2.24.0-4 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gnome-panel 2.24.3-1+b1 launcher and docking facility for ii gstreamer0.1 0.10.22-5 GStreamer plugin for ALSA ii gstreamer0.1 0.10.11-2 GStreamer plugins from the "bad" s ii gstreamer0.1 0.10.14-2 GStreamer plugins from the "good" ii gvfs 1.0.3-4 userspace virtual filesystem - ser ii libapm1 3.2.2-12 Library for interacting with APM d ii libatk1.0-0 1.26.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonoboui2 2.24.1-1 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.9-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcpufreq0 004-2 shared library to deal with the cp ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.12-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib 0.80-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgconf2-4 2.26.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-des 2.26.1-1 Utility library for loading .deskt ii libgnome2-0 2.24.1-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomekbd3 2.24.0-3 GNOME library to manage keyboard c ii libgnomeui-0 2.24.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgstreamer 0.10.22-5 GStreamer libraries from the "base ii libgstreamer 0.10.22-3 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libgtk2.0-0 2.16.1-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtop2-7 2.24.3-1 gtop system monitoring library ii libgucharmap 1:2.24.3-1 Unicode browser widget library (sh ii libgweather1 2.24.3-1 GWeather shared library ii libhal1 0.5.12~git20090406.46dc48-2 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libnotify1 [ 0.4.5-1 sends desktop notifications to a n ii liboobs-1-4 2.22.0-2 GObject based interface to system- ii libpanel-app 2.24.3-1+b1 library for GNOME Panel applets ii libpango1.0- 1.24.0-3+b1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpolkit-db 0.9-3 library for accessing PolicyKit vi ii libpolkit2 0.9-3 library for accessing PolicyKit ii libwnck22 2.24.2-2 Window Navigator Construction Kit hi libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii libxklavier1 3.9-1 X Keyboard Extension high-level AP ii libxml2 2.7.3.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii python 2.5.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o Versions of packages gnome-applets recommends: ii cpufrequtils 004-2 utilities to deal with the cpufreq pn deskbar-applet <none> (no description available) ii gnome-media 2.24.0.1-3 GNOME media utilities pn gnome-netstatus-applet <none> (no description available) ii gnome-system-monitor 2.24.4-1 Process viewer and system resource ii policykit-gnome 0.9.2-1 GNOME dialogs for PolicyKit ii python-gnome2 2.22.3-3 Python bindings for the GNOME desk Versions of packages gnome-applets suggests: ii acpid 1.0.8-8 Utilities for using ACPI power man ii tomboy 0.12.2-5 desktop note taking program using - -- debconf information: gnome-applets/cpufreq_SUID_bit: false -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkn0e7oACgkQ823633cP2P8/xgCeMIu7H4F+glcPpzvHPjjbKydx c6YAn3nG0hVPs1NiL2tMpYXn4Cgz7TDu =3Q7f -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
