Hi,

I'm encountering the same problem as you about udev (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=495674) that slow my boot sequence considerably (5 minutes)

it's been quite some time since I reported this bug. I don't see it anymore today, but however, I *never* experienced such delays in the boot sequence - neither with the bug nor without it. To be honest, I did not experience even the shortest delay which could be cased by the bug; I think it was just an error message and nothing else.

I saw that Jordi Mallach has corrected the bug in the alsa-driver version 1.0.17.dfsg-4. But the problem is still there for me.

I remember that I also had the impression that the new upload of alsa-driver did *not* fix the issue for me. But since the described bug did not cause any real problems for me I just forgot about it and today I do not see this message anymore. However, I am tracking unstable and have updated some hundret other packages in the mean time, so I really can't tell when the issue disappeared on my system.

I want you to tell me if you still experience the problem or not and if the alsa-driver resolved the problem for you.

If you respond to error messages that have been reported to the Debian BTS, please do always keep the error in CC.

Cheers,
Fabian
