Hi, I think that the Subject says it pretty much all -- it is hard to find out why actually wvdial doesn't work, when it doesn't set defaultrout to ppp0. I have spend couple of nights cursing hsfmodem driver, before finding that actually the problem is in this, which seems to be obviously default for anybody using wvdial for its most common purpose -- i.e., connecting the computer to the Internet. Could you at least make it a question with dpkg-reconfigure wvdial?
