Package: libsane Version: 1.0.19-23 Severity: important libsane should only recommend libsane-extras. Dependency precludes installation of third party software to make my scanner (epson stylus office tx300f) work properly. Building sane-backends from source, removing the dependency for libsane-extras allows me to install the .deb from avasys, but I also have to install 1/2 gig of build-depends to do so.
