Package: gnome Severity: important gnome-control-panel/Network - app to configure network settings in gnome. it does not remembers settings that have been configured - first, when having multiple interfaes, everytime i start my system there is shown than both are enabled when in fact only one is. unchcking second does both to restart. another thing is about DNS settings - i have added there multiple nameservers more, but after system restart these were lost. i used 'Location:' and it's save button to store my current settings with the name, byt after restart any defaults has benn loaded and i had to start this app and manually select Location/<my stored settings>
i am not sure how this app is named so i can't detail you, but when you start gnome-control-panel it's called 'Network'. i see below, that reportbug detected my system as squeeze/sid what is not true, cause i was always on testing edition and i even did not upgrade to squeeze on this machine... cheers -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome depends on: ii gdm-themes 0.6.2 Themes for the GNOME Display Manag pn gnome-cups-manager <none> (no description available) pn gnome-desktop-environment <none> (no description available) pn gnome-games-extra-data <none> (no description available) pn gnome-office <none> (no description available) ii gnome-power-manager 2.22.1-4 power management tool for the GNOM ii gnome-themes-extras 0.9.0.deb0.4 various themes for the GNOME 2 des pn rhythmbox <none> (no description available) ii synaptic 0.62.5 Graphical package manager pn totem-mozilla <none> (no description available) ii xscreensaver 5.05-3 Automatic screensaver for X gnome recommends no packages. gnome suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
