Package: gstreamer0.10-alsa Version: 0.10.23-2 Severity: important Hi,
I'm unable to get sound output via gstreamer in its default configuration. Like in #494382 I have a HDA Intel onboard sound card. It is connected to my amplifier via a SPDIF cable. Neither gst-launch-0.10 audiotestsrc ! audioconvert ! alsasink nor gst-launch-0.10 audiotestsrc ! audioconvert ! alsasink device=default produce sound output. However /proc/asound/Intel/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params show the device as opened: access: MMAP_INTERLEAVED format: S32_LE subformat: STD channels: 2 rate: 48000 (48000/1) period_size: 1024 buffer_size: 8192 If I substitute the default device with hw:0 I get sound output. The default device is working with arts, mplayer and aplay.
