Package: parted-udeb Version: 1.8.8.git.2008.03.24-11.1 I got the following message while installing with a daily image (maybe due to #530904):
┌────────────────────────┤ [!!] Partition disks ├─────────────────────────┐ │ │ │ Error informing the kernel about modifications to partition /dev/sda2 │ │ -- Device or resource busy. This means Linux won't know about any │ │ changes you made to /dev/sda2 until you reboot -- so you shouldn't │ │ mount it or use it in any way before rebooting. │ │ │ │ ERROR!!! │ │ │ │ Ignore │ │ Cancel │ │ │ │ <Go Back> │ │ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ I'm not sure who displays this error message, but the error itself comes from parted. What's not great: - The "ERROR!!!" string that doesn't really say anything at all. - The choice "Ignore" and "Cancel". I guess "Ignore" is "go ahead" and "Cancel" is "go back", but there's a "go back" already. - When I press "Go Back", it actually goes ahead to format the partition (which worked fine). -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
