Btw awesome should enforce a tighter dependency to avoid this problem, but i guess this is not necessary to open a new br, as you are aware of the problem now. As this bug is about xcb now, i tried to get the i386 package by myself (0.3.5, as you explained), as it is not yet available, but the build-dependency prevent this bug from being closed: configure: error: libxcb was compiled against xcb-proto ; it needs needs to be compiled against version 1.5 or higher
