I'll try to incorporate this check, but since I'm not completely convinced of the neccessity of this change, it's not high on my todo list. If you have openttd installed, you'll want to have the data files as well, since openttd won't work without any and you might as well just uninstall it.
Or is there a usecase for having openttd installed without datafiles that I am not aware of? Gr. Matthijs
