Package: newt Followup-For: Bug #316010 I can reproduce this bug with attached script using whiptail. You should run it under UTF-8 locale on therminal that supports Japanese output. Note hole in scrollbar near the text written in Japanese, and note how blue bar length changes when Japanese test is selected. Also there is no symbol for showing current position on the scrollbar, just space.
