Package: qemu Version: 0.10.5-1 Severity: normal Starting e.g. CentOS 5.3 under 'qemu -vga std'. CentOS X server configured to use 'vesa' driver fails to start, reporting insufficient memory for all modes. Unsurprisingly, as vesa driver reports video memory as 0Mb.
Fixed by updating to latest vgabios.bin from http://svn.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/tags/release_0_10_1/pc-bios/vgabios.bin?root=qemu&view=log Not sure if this is qemu or vgabios bug.
