Package: grub
Version: 0.97-53
Severity: important

Hi,
I just upgraded the to latest kernel, and I discovered my grub menu was
altered in a wrong way.
First, the first sectors of my hard drive have a FreeBSD 7.2 installation,
which was not detected correctly.
Second, all the entries for debian kernels where wrongly assigned to (hd0,8),
rather they should have been assigned to (hd0,7).
cat /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
proc            /proc           proc    defaults        0       0
/dev/hda8       /               ext3    errors=remount-ro 0       1
/dev/hda6       /home           ext3    defaults        0       2
/dev/hda7       none            swap    sw              0       0
/dev/hdb        /media/cdrom0   udf,iso9660 user,noauto     0       0

Here's a snippet of grub current product:
title           Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.26-2-686
root            (hd0,8)
kernel          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-686
root=UUID=5c541ed2-f5d5-43f3-9821-400045c8af40 ro quiet
initrd          /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26-2-686

The expected behaviour:

 title           Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.26-2-686
 root            (hd0,7)
 kernel          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-2-686
 root=UUID=5c541ed2-f5d5-43f3-9821-400045c8af40 ro quiet
 initrd          /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26-2-686

and in the end of the list include other operating systems like FreeBSD:
 title       FreeBSD 7.2
 root        (hd0,a)
 chainloader  +1

Thanks,

Oz N
