I have a similar problem, in my case g-v-m is configured properly with "gthumb --import-photos", but when I plug my camera I can't import my photos because nautilus and g-v-m try to mount my camera and it's mounted twice. I try to disable import photos from g-v-m but this doesn't work, disabling import photos from nautilus doesn't work neither.
