I'm not _explicitly_ trying to install the "smart plugin", whatever that
is.

That is a choice that is made for me by the default setup for
munin-node, not by me.

In other words, it's the package defaults that's trying to install
a plugin that requires python.

Yes, of course I've installed this on a computer with python
installed, and received no warning whatsoever.

Okay, then the "smart package" should NOT be attempted installed.

Should I file a separate bug for this, or will you reopen the
current bug?
