Hello, I just investigated some time on this issue and found out (by calling find-partitions manually) that its linked against /lib/libparted-1.8.so.10, although (by accident?) that build of squeeze in question contains libparted-1.8-12 from sid.
After temp-fixing/hacking the issue with a simple symlink the configuration of
the software raid went fine.
