I have rebased keytouch-editor against its new upstream source, and this does in fact fix the XMMS Amarok confusion, so when that new package gets uploaded to unstable, this bug will be closed.
I realize that there are other issues in this bug, but as I said before, I believe that they are caused by a malformed configuration file. So once you get your hands on the new version, go ahead and make a new configuration file for your keyboard, and if that does not fix the problem, go ahead and file a new bug against keytouch.
