Hello, Is it possible to encode systemtap's version number in snapshot file name. That'll simplify packaging of snapshots (see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=536469)
With git it can be done using for example this command: echo `git describe --match "release-*" --abbrev=0 HEAD | sed s/release-//`+git`date +%Y%m%d` This currently gives: 0.9.8+git20090711 Regards, Eugeniy Meshcheryakov 11 липня 2009 о 14:27 -0000 [email protected] написав(-ла): > A new automated systemtap source snapshot is available > ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/systemtap/snapshots/systemtap-20090711.tar.bz2 > 1168878 bytes, tag > See also ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/systemtap/snapshots/
