brlapi_write (3) - (unknown subject) That is because brlapi_write.3's NAME is Writing on the braille display \- Write text to the braille display. i.e. the title of the group then the brief of the group, while for whatis to work properly it should be brlapi_write \- Write text to the braille display. i.e. the name of the group then the brief of the group.
