Package: putty Version: 0.58-1 Severity: minor
Putty and pterm appear to function propely, but are slow to start. The Putty GUI comes up quickly, and the pterm window appears quickly, but it's many seconds to a minute before it becomes responsive to input. Starting xterm or konsole on the same system is almost instant. OpenSSH connecting to the same system as putty is also lightening fast. The problem seems to be starting pterm or a pterm window from putty. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-11-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages putty depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-10 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-17 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxi6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System Input extension li ii putty-tools 0.58-1 command-line tools for SSH, SCP, a ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu putty recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
