Hi, the perlop man page refers to feature for enabling the ~~ feature: This operator is only available if you enable the "~~" feature: see feature for more information. But feature has no information about the ~~ operator. It seems to be available by default, but it cannot be enabled by "use feature": $ perl -e 'print "ok" if 1 ~~ 1' ok $ perl -e 'use feature q(~~)' Feature "~~" is not supported by Perl 5.10.0 at -e line 1 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at -e line 1.
