Hello, If you look at http://packages.debian.org/sid/virtualbox-ose, you'll see that the python2.4 dependency is only on amd64. AFAIK that means the package was built on an amd64 system with python2.4 installed, and then the autobuilders built the other architectures with only python2.5.
