Package: resolvconf Version: 1.44 You ask for more information about this bug. in fact it is pretty easy. In some place provider does not provide dns name server (or they are crappy), therefore you should go back dns-root server. Instead to cut and paste it on the dnsnameserver line of network.conf, it will be better to have a symbolic name like dns-root-servers, taht will be expended to dns-root-server of the day.
