of course. that's why wherever possible, you should try to reproduce the
bug with current sid before reporting, to see if it still applies,
because that is the one we're developing. stable is dead, apart from
security fixes.

sure. if you can't or don't want to, this is fine. the maintainer will
always try to reproduce it, though its nice to safe the time in the
first place, when possible.
