Package: debian-goodies Version: 0.23 Severity: wishlist Tags: experimental
Hello, I just discovered rc-alert from debian-goodies. I think a crontab entry with something like 'rc-alert | grep -B 3 -A 1 security' and the installation of this package as a mandatory package of the basic debian installation may improve debian security. Can this be done? Thanks. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers experimental APT policy: (990, 'experimental'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-TestMMnephthys Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Versions of packages debian-goodies depends on: ii curl 7.14.0-2 Get a file from an HTTP, HTTPS, FT ii grep-dctrl 2.7 Grep Debian package information - ii lsof 4.75.dfsg.1-1 List open files. ii python 2.3.5-3 An interactive high-level object-o debian-goodies recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
