I cannot reproduce this bug on i386 and, unfortunately, have no amd64 machines to test. Moreover, strace shows that openjdk-6 java doesn't even try to access a file named libmawt.so when josm is run on my computer. $ strace -f josm 2>&1 | grep ^open | grep libmawt.so $ And this happens even if I select the "CDE/Motif" Look&Feel in the preferences. I think this is an OpenJDK fault on amd64. Are you able to use other Java applications with OpenJDK?
