The proposal to implement transparent fallback to IPv4 is now tracked
upstream as [1].
Also Badlop (a developer at Process-One) told me that in the trunk
version (and in 2.1b1) the type of the socket is inferred from its IP
address, if this is configured. The problem, though, is that while this
helps in certain cases, we're discussing the case of the default config,
when no IP addresses are assigned to listeners.
