gnome-vfs-daemon periodically crashes due to an undefined symbol referenced in
/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libsmb.so
I first noticed that rhythmbox would randomly restart playing tracks, and
tracked it down to
gnome-vfs-daemon restarting. I put an strace on gnome-vfs-daemon, and the last
messages before the
process detached are:

The complete symbol name is smbc_remove_unused_server.
The effect of this is that, at least, nautilus will close open windows, and
rhythmbox will drop and
reload its database, making this crash quite awkward. In general smb share
browsing does work in
nautilus.
If libsmb.so is removed, no further crashes are experienced (but of course smb
shares are not
accessible.)
