Found 531832 0.46-9 thanks Dear Wolfram and Luka,
I was hit by the same bug in inskape 0.46-9 on a very fresh install (Lenny upgraded to Squeeze/Sid). Although it is not directly helpful for Debian, I grabbed Ubuntu's inkscape_0.47~pre1-0ubuntu1.dsc, compiled and installed it locally, and I was lucky that it is not affected by the bug. So maybe the simple solution for #531832 is to wait a bit for the 0.47 release and the update of Debian's package. I can help to check that the bug is gone before Wolfram uploads to the main archive.
