Package: libluabind-dev
Version: 0.8.1+dfsg-2
When upgrading the libboost-dev and libboost-python-dev packages to
current version 1.38, building projects from source with Luabind no
longer works properly. I get long compile-time errors which include
error messages mentioning luabind functions. However, building works
fine when I downgrade to Boost 1.34, suggesting that the packages are
built specifically for that version. However, the package depends on
any libboost-dev and libboostpython-dev; no specific version is
required. Also, if I use apt to build the deb-src package of
libluabind-dev using the latest Boost, the problem goes away.
I believe that if you set the package to depend specifically on the
1.38 version of Boost, and build the binaries for that version, that
should fix the problem.
I am using Debian sid with the stock kernel image 2.6.30-amd64. The
libc6 version is 2.9.25, and I have also experienced this bug on an
i386 machine with the same setup.
