Package: mydms Version: 1.7.0-1 Severity: normal When the config dialogs came up prompting for database information, I provided information for a remote database. Upon launching mydms for the first time, I received php errors about not being able to connect to localhost.
After digging, I found that to fix it I needed to add the line $settings->_dbHostname=$dbserver at the end of /usr/share/mydms/www/inc/inc.Settings.php I am using the default mysql port so everything works after that; a non-standard port specified in the /etc/mydms/debian-db.php file would likely not work either. I did not explicitly test this however. It appears that the versions in testing/unstable are affected in the same way. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mydms depends on: ii apache2 2.2.9-10+lenny4 Apache HTTP Server metapackage ii apache2-mpm-prefor 2.2.9-10+lenny4 Apache HTTP Server - traditional n ii dbconfig-common 1.8.39 common framework for packaging dat ii debconf [debconf-2 1.5.24 Debian configuration management sy ii libapache2-mod-php 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny3 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii libphp-adodb 5.05-1 The ADOdb database abstraction lay ii mysql-client 5.0.51a-24+lenny1 MySQL database client (metapackage ii mysql-client-5.0 [ 5.0.51a-24+lenny1 MySQL database client binaries ii mysql-server 5.0.51a-24+lenny1 MySQL database server (metapackage ii mysql-server-5.0 [ 5.0.51a-24+lenny1 MySQL database server binaries ii php5-gd 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny3 GD module for php5 ii php5-mysql 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny3 MySQL module for php5 mydms recommends no packages. mydms suggests no packages. -- debconf information: mydms/dbconfig-upgrade: true mydms/dbconfig-remove: * mydms/install-error: ignore mydms/missing-db-package-error: abort mydms/passwords-do-not-match: mydms/remove-error: abort * mydms/mysql/method: tcp/ip * mydms/remote/port: * mydms/db/dbname: mydms mydms/upgrade-error: abort * mydms/mysql/admin-user: root mydms/dbconfig-reinstall: false mydms/database-type: mysql mydms/internal/reconfiguring: false mydms/upgrade-backup: true mydms/internal/skip-preseed: false mydms/remote/newhost: db.mktec.com mydms/purge: false * mydms/db/app-user: mydms * mydms/dbconfig-install: true * mydms/remote/host: db.mktec.com -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
