Package: grub-pc Version: 1.96+20090808-1 tags 540549 patch I installed a SoftRAID for my AMD710 chipset. It will be setup as /dev/mapper/pdc_fcgchefh and run into the same problem with GRUB2 as described here.
I've found a patch from Felix Zielcke at http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2009-07/msg00099.html and applied it to 1.96+20090808-1 successfully. The setup of GRUB2 worked fine for me. I've attached the patch to this e-mail for sure. I cound not find the patch in the official SVN directory but maybe Felix did not applied it and waiting for more feedback. At this point I finght with initramfs-tools which do not work because dmraid -ay is not called. But this should go the the initramfs-tools package. Regards, Raphael
