Hi Michael, I've made the attached change to the Ubuntu consolekit package, per <http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2009/08/msg00790.html>, so that the pam_ck_connector PAM module will only be automatically configured for use with interactive sessions. This avoids <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/consolekit/+bug/287715>, the spawning of unnecessary consolekit sessions for every cronjob execution. Please consider applying the patch to the Debian package as well. Changelog entry: * debian/libpam-ck-connector.pam-auth-update: mark this module as applying only to interactive sessions. LP: #287715. We thought you might be interested in doing the same. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers karmic-updates APT policy: (500, 'karmic-updates'), (500, 'karmic-security'), (500, 'karmic-proposed'), (500, 'karmic') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31-6-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world.
