Thanks for the clue about installing by hand. I don't remember doing
that - however, when I purged the package, dpkg complained about
/usr/lib/pitivi not being empty. Aftering rm -rf /usr/lib/pitivi and
re-installing the debian package, it works like a charm. I must have
installed it earlier and forgotten about it.
