Package: gnome-common Version: 2.8.0-3 Severity: normal gnome-autogen.sh calls automake with the --force option. This option is not supported by automake1.4.
I'd suggest to remove the automake1.4 option from the Depends, or check for it and not use --force in case it is used. It seems that the lowest-version automake which is available on a system is used. Because not having it in the Depends doesn't guarantee it's not installed, it should also be made sure that it isn't used if it is installed anyway (unless the second option, handling it, is chosen, then there is no problem of course). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages gnome-common depends on: ii autoconf 2.59a-3 automatic configure script builder ii automake1.4 1:1.4-p6-9 A tool for generating GNU Standard ii automake1.6 1.6.3-12 A tool for generating GNU Standard ii automake1.7 1.7.9-7 A tool for generating GNU Standard ii automake1.9 1.9.5-1 A tool for generating GNU Standard ii gettext 0.14.5-2 GNU Internationalization utilities ii intltool 0.33-1 Utility scripts for internationali ii libtool 1.5.6-6 Generic library support script ii pkg-config 0.18.1-1 manage compile and link flags for gnome-common recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
