Package: debhelper Version: 7.4.0 Severity: minor The dh_prep manpage description section doesn't really specify where it should be used in the rules file. Specifically, it says that acts to prepare for "building a package". This could be interpreted as being prior to building the software, and thus should be run in the configure target, or prior to building the deb, in which case it belongs in the install target. Clarifying this would be helpful.
